"In the past, health training and development were not viewed as activities that could help health sectors generate 'value' or successfully navigate competitive challenges. However, this perspective has fundamentally shifted. Health Training now occupies a prominent position among activities aimed at raising productive efficiency and improving working methods. Hospitals and healthcare centers that train and develop their staff using innovative methods are proven to be more profitable than their counterparts that neglect such activities, because employee training helps the hospital overcome complex challenges.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has pointed out the importance of health training as a method that effectively contributes to achieving quality, efficiency, and effectiveness within the hospital. Ultimately, the quality of any health training system depends on the competence of the training faculty. Trainers are the actual operators of the training system in hospitals due to their direct contact with trainees and all components of the instructional framework; they bear the demanding responsibility of executing the system exactly as designed.

Therefore, the TRAINER is a vital and primary element in the instructional process because they are the executing agent. The trainer represents one of the core pillars of the essential training framework (which includes: the trainer, the training hall, and the training package) that forms the vital foundation for the success of training within hospitals. In fact, the health trainer is the most critical pillar in a successful training dynamic; an effective trainer can turn the instructional process into a successful journey that brings about the desired change and development within hospital departments. Even if the training package is less than ideal or the environment is unsupportive, an effective trainer has the power to make the training process successful. In short, health sectors today require a specific set of skills that an effective health trainer must master. The ultimate metric is not just how much the trainer knows (though that is important), but how capable they are of delivering what they know to those who do not.

Driven by the Arabic libraries' need for literature in Arabic addressing TRAINING in general and HEALTH TRAINING in particular, the idea for this book was born to serve as a reference in this specialty. For its practical importance, we ensured the inclusion of an empirical study on the reality of new trainers in the field and the challenges they face in preparing and delivering training material—challenges that are not limited to health training alone but extend to anyone wishing to face an audience and deliver a scientific topic.
